Administrative Measures for the Awards of
China International Industry Fair

Chapter I General Provisions    
•        Article 1：China International Industry Fair (CIIF) is the longest-running national-level industrial event in China.The award as an integral component of the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) , is dedicated to recognizing exceptional products and technologies that have made significant advancements in industrial manufacturing, driving industry development and yielding substantial economic benefits. This regulation has been developed by drawing upon established practices from internationally renowned exhibitions in order to underscore the overarching theme of the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) and bolster its brand while further standardizing the awarding process.
         Article 2:The principles of “fairness, integrity, and openness” and “high standards, strict requirements, and less but better” shall be adhered to.

Chapter II Organization Structure and Responsibilities
•        Article 3: A committee for awards shall be established, responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of award-related activities, optimization of the award information platform, expansion of various award modules, refinement of award rules, and implementation of policies and publicity for winning products. The committee will establish a secretariat as its daily operational body to oversee the execution of award-related activities.
         Article 4: An expert group and a supervisory group will be formed. The expert group will comprise Fellows from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, scholars from renowned domestic and international universities and research institutions, technical leaders from leading enterprises, prominent entrepreneurs, well-known media personalities etc. The supervisory group will be responsible for overseeing evaluation sites to ensure the validity of award results and providing recommendations on addressing complaints or objections raised by participating entities or individuals.

Chapter III Award Setting
•        Article 5: CIIF shall set the China International Industry Fair awards (referred to as the “CIIF Awards”) and the total number of the CIIF Awards shall not exceed 11 (inclusive).The Awards encompasses one significantly large category and 10 major awards.
         Based on the number of exhibitors, a maximum of 10 special awards will be established in each category. The 24th CIIF will introduce the "CIIF Craftsman Award".
         Depending on the exhibition situation, the Office of the Organizing Committee of CIIF may propose special honorary awards (or special awards for the host country) for a select few exhibits with particularly significant influence or special significance.

Chapter IV Scope of Participation
•        Article 6:The applicants must be organizations with independent legal qualification; the products must be outstanding technology, products or system solutions with intellectual property rights developed by the applicants themselves or together with others, be exhibited in the current CIIF, and have passed the industrialization test or achieved industrialized applications.

Chapter V Appraisal Criteria
•        Article 7 :The CIIF Awards shall be granted to the world-class industrial products that represent the state of the arts of global industrial and information integration, major breakthroughs in technological innovation and model innovation, and achievements of demonstration applications or large-scale commercialization, and that take a leading and innovative role in industry and regional development.
         The appraisal criteria of CIIF Awards run as follows:　
         (1) Contribution to the industry: having made major breakthroughs in key core technology development and high-end product research and development in frontier high-tech industries or advanced equipment manufacturing, and leading the trends of industrial technology and product development both at home and abroad;
         (2) Technical level and degree of innovation: possessing independent intellectual property rights, with technical level reaching international leading or domestically pioneered position;
         (3) Economic and social benefits: having created or having potential huge economic benefits or having outstanding performance in social benefits, and being able to better promote the development of related industries.
•        Article 8：The CIIF Professional Awards are conferred upon emerging industrial products that demonstrate a high level of specialization, robust innovation capabilities, and significant potential for development. These products serve as catalysts for the advancement of both large enterprises and startups (innovative enterprises), while also contributing to breakthroughs in science and technology and the emergence of a new industrial civilization. The award criteria are outlined as follows:
         (1) Industry Contribution: The product embodies a certain technological revolution or industrial transformation within its specialized field, enhancing the quality and efficiency of technology and supply.
         (2) Technical Proficiency and Innovation: Possessing independent intellectual property rights, the product exhibits strong developmental potential in both domestic and international professional spheres.
         (3) Economic and Social Impact: The product has already generated or holds potential economic value, demonstrating outstanding performance in societal development or related industries.
•        Article 9：The CIIF Craftsman Awards recognize exceptional industrial products dedicated to uncovering cultural connotations, perpetuating cultural heritage, pursuing excellence in quality, and maintaining meticulous manufacturing standards. These products set industry benchmarks for promoting and nurturing the spirit of modern-day craftsmen. The award criteria are detailed below:
         (1)Industry Contribution: The product excels within its specialized field by assuming a leading role in inspiring the development of related technologies and products.
         (2)Technical Proficiency and Innovation: Possessing independent intellectual property rights with strong competitiveness within their respective professional fields through continuous pursuit of technological innovation.
         (3)Economic and Social Impact: Having already created or possessing certain potential economic value while contributing to fostering an industry culture that values skills and respects craftsmen.

Chapter VI Appraisal Process
•        Article 10: Products meeting the eligibility criteria for the CIIF Awards are eligible to apply voluntarily. The applying entity is required to complete the "Award Application Form" on the CIIF Award Information Platform and submit relevant attachments as per stipulated guidelines.
         Article 11: The Secretariat of the Awarding Department conducts a formal examination of applicant products on the CIIF Award Information Platform.
         Article 12: The panel of awarding experts conducts initial screening of eligible products through online review and on-site question-and-answer sessions. A comprehensive evaluation is then carried out for recommended outstanding products, culminating in the selection of winners for the CIIF Grand Prize. 　　
         Article 13: The expert panel submits a list of award-winning products to the CIIF Organizing Committee for archival purposes."

Chapter VII Assurance
•        Article 14: Publicize the award-winning exhibits and host an awards ceremony.
         Article 15: There are no fees for participating units in the procedures of application, recommendation, evaluation, and commendation.

Chapter VIII Discipline
•        Article 16 :The application documents shall be true and valid, and shall not be falsified. Upon discovery of any falsification, the qualification for this application shall be cancelled and the award shall be rescinded, and the falsifying organization shall not make such application within the succeeding five sessions.
         Article 17 :The awarding work of the CIIF shall be subject to social supervision. The Award Appraisal Office shall enter into the "Letter of Undertaking for Non-disclosure" with the review experts and staff. Anyone who finds any violations can report the violation to the Award Appraisal Office. Violators shall be subject to disciplinary violations such as criticism, warning, and post dismissal depending on the severity of circumstances. Any suspected crime shall be reported to the judicial organ for processing.
         Article 18 :If the review expert himself/herself has a stake in the participating exhibits or participating exhibitors, he/she shall take the initiative to ask for withdrawal from the Award Appraisal Administration Office.

Chapter IX Supplementary Provisions
•        Article 19 :These Measures shall take effect as of the date of promulgation.
         Article 20 :These Measures shall be construed by the Award Appraisal Office of CIIF.
